T.E.A.L.® Walk/Run™ Program

What is the T.E.A.L.® Walk/Run™ Program?

T.E.A.L.® refers to both Teal, the color that symbolizes ovarian cancer and the not-for-profit organization, Tell Every Amazing Lady About Ovarian Cancer Louisa M. McGregor Ovarian Cancer Foundation.

Our Walk/Run™ program begin in 2009 in Prospect Park, Brooklyn, NY and continues today all across the United States. The program celebrates the courage of ovarian cancer survivors and the strength of the families who’ve been touched by the disease, while also spreading awareness to the public and raising money for research.

Thousands of registered participants have been a part of our T.E.A.L.® Walk/Run™ Program with hundreds of teams since 2009. The program has raised millions of dollars for our Awareness, Survivor and Medical Research Programs.

History of the
T.E.A.L.® Walk/Run™ Program

T.E.A.L.®’s premiere event, the Annual Brooklyn T.E.A.L.® Walk/Run™, from which the foundation owes its inception, began in 2009. Started in Prospect Park, Brooklyn by founders Louisa M. McGregor and Pamela Esposito-Amery, the event has grown to take place in other cities of the United States thanks to the help of amazing volunteers.

One of the highlights of the annual event that has remained since 2009 and is replicated anywhere a T.E.A.L.® Walk/Run™ takes place is the T.E.A.L.® Survivor Ceremony. This is a beautiful celebration highlighting each individual’s courage and perseverance in the face of such a difficult diagnosis. Anyone who has ever been diagnosed with ovarian cancer is invited to participate in this amazing ceremony.
