Love, Gilda Movie Screening

Looking for a meaningful way to show your support but not sure how?

Join us for a special screening of Love, Gilda. The movie opens a unique window into the honest and whimsical world of beloved performer Gilda Radner, whose greatest role was sharing her story.

Working with the Radner estate, director Lisa D’Apolito unearthed a collection of diaries and personal audio and videotapes documenting her childhood, her comedy career, her relationships and ultimately, her struggles with cancer. These never-before-seen-or-heard footage and journal entries form the narrative spine of the documentary, allowing Gilda to tell her own story — through laughter and sometimes tears.

Come be inspired by Gilda’s story — and help turn awareness into action.

Each of  the tickets to the Love, Gilda Screening comes with special giveaways plus a live 10 minute educational talk on ovarian cancer following the film.

Access to Genetic Testing with Jscreen

One of our sponsors for the Tell Every Amazing Lady® Brooklyn Run and Exhibition is Jscreen. They will be offering access to genetic testing in the park AND at Nitehawk Cinema!

Genetic testing detects whether someone carries a change in genes that are known to increase a person’s lifetime risk for cancer, including the BRCA1 & BRCA2 genes in addition to 40+ other genes. Being proactive now can help you understand your risk and empower you to make informed decisions for you and your family.

Jscreen provides access to licensed genetic counselors that will help you understand what your genetic test results mean, how they can be used to tailor your cancer care/prevention efforts, and prepare you to discuss your results with relatives who may benefit from knowing about an identified genetic risk in the family.

Learn how to pre-register with jscreen when you sign-up for the Tell Every Amazing Lady® Brooklyn Run and Exhibition!
